Wetherby Named a 2023 Top-Rated Financial Advisor by CNBC

We are pleased to announce that our sister company, Wetherby Asset Management (WAM), was recently named to the CNBC FA 100. In the words of CNBC, the list recognizes financial advisors who “best help their clients navigate their financial lives.” This fifth annual ranking by CNBC evaluates firms on criteria such as compliance record, numbers of years in business, overall size of staff and number of advisors with professional designations, and total assets and accounts under management.

Laird Norton Wealth Management (LNWM) merged with Wetherby in January 2022 to create a firm with a national presence and enhanced capabilities focused on creating positive impact: Helping our clients preserve, grow and use their wealth to make a positive difference in the world; Engaging and rewarding our employees so they can grow professionally and personally; and Giving back to the communities in which we work and live. All the while, we continue to provide our clients and their families with the deep expertise and personalized care required to achieve their financial and life goals.

CNBC FA 100 is an independent listing produced by CNBC. To be eligible for the ranking, firms must first meet CNBC’s proprietary criteria assessed through AccuPoint Solutions’ database. Firms which met the initial selection criteria were then invited to complete an additional survey used to determine the final rankings. Data points used in CNBC’s analysis include: 1) advisory firm’s regulatory/compliance record (note: any firm that had a disclosure on its SEC ADV was automatically disqualified from the ranking), 2) number of years in the business, 3) number of certified financial planners, 4) number of employees, 5) number of investment advisors registered with the firm, 6) ratio of investment advisors to total number of employees, 7) total assets under management, 8) percentage of discretionary assets under management, 9) total accounts under management, 10) number of states where the RIA is registered, and 11) country of domicile.
Of the 812 eligible firms, 12% – or 100 firms – were selected for the published list. For additional information please visit https://www.cnbc.com/2023/09/12/heres-how-we-determine-the-fa-100-ranking-for-2023.html.
