Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said he wants to see more evidence that inflation is falling before starting to cut interest rates. 

The U.S. economy added a strong 275,000 jobs in Feb. but unemployment rose to 3.9% as there were 187,000 fewer full-time jobs but 51,000 more part-time jobs. 

The European Central Bank hinted that it may start cutting interest rates in June on lower inflation. 

China’s exports grew 7.1% and imports 3.5% in the first two months of 2024, but manufacturing activity has been declining for five straight months through Feb. 

The SEC approved climate-related reporting disclosures for large U.S. public companies starting in 2026; companies will not be required to report on emissions outside their own operations (in their supply chains, etc.).
